Morusu Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of "Morusu", the messenger app provided by plan8 Inc. ("we", "us"). By using the service you agree to these Terms.
01. Application
These Terms apply to all relationships between you and us regarding the service. We may also provide separate guidelines and notices, which form part of these Terms.
02. Accounts
The service issues a user ID through email + password authentication. You are responsible for managing your account credentials and device. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Your nickname and your personal nickname tap pattern are unique worldwide.
03. Prohibited conduct
Morusu has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. The following are strictly prohibited. Engaging in them may result in the immediate removal of content and the permanent suspension of the account without prior notice.
- Registering messages or meanings that are defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, harassing, sexual, violent, or illegal
- Harassment such as unwanted following, stalking, or repeated unsolicited sending
- Impersonating others or publishing others' personal information without consent
- Commercial spam in the meaning dictionary, or polluting the dictionary by improper means
- Interfering with the operation of the service, unauthorized access, or probing for vulnerabilities
- Any other conduct we deem inappropriate
04. User content
You represent and warrant that you hold the necessary rights to the content you register or send (messages, dictionary entries, etc.), or have the rights holder's permission. You grant us the right to use that content to the extent necessary to provide, operate, improve, and promote the service. Dictionary entries are part of a shared world dictionary and are searchable and usable by all users.
05. Enforcement
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. If we find conduct that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, we may remove the content, restrict features, or suspend the account without prior notice. Within the app you can report objectionable content and block abusive users from the "…" menu in any chat. We also accept reports at hideaki@tsuruoka.me and, as a rule, act on them within 24 hours.
06. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, completeness, or accuracy. AI-based multilingual translation of meanings is provided on a best-effort basis and its accuracy is not guaranteed. We are not responsible for disputes between users, or between a user and a third party. Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages incurred by the user.
07. Changes
We may revise these Terms as needed. Revised Terms take effect when posted on this page. For significant changes, we may notify you in the app or by email.
08. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of our head office as the court of first instance.
